JetBlue Airways, l’ Hometown Airline™ di New York, and Emirates, the airline based in Dubai and one of the companies with the fastest growth in the world, have announced plans to expand their existing partnership in favor of a bilateral codeshare, submitted to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) and subject to the opinion of the foreign government authorities. The agreement Expansion, JetBlue will put its code "B6" on all flights currently operated by Emirates between the U.S. and the Dubai International Airport, as well as on the one between New York and Milan.
The agreement now want to deepen their three-year partnership between JetBlue and Emirates. Emirates has started putting its code on some JetBlue flights carried out in April 2012, in expansion of an agreement dating back to 2010.L 'current codeshare on JetBlue flights offered by Emirates include 28 destinations including Boston, Chicago, Orlando and Puerto Rico. Since March of this year, Emirates has begun to put its code on other routes JetBlue, tra cui Bridgetown, Barbados, Cancun, Mexico, Montego Bay, Jamaica and Santo Domingo, Santiago and Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic. With the existing agreement, customers can take advantage of a single ticket for flights of both companies, plus other benefits such as one-stop check-in and dedicated transfer baggage.
I membri in Skywards, the frequent flyer program for Emirates, can earn Miles on JetBlue flights and redeem miles for flights to the 77 destinations served by JetBlue in the Americas. Similarly, TrueBlue members - the loyalty program for customers JetBlue - can earn points on Emirates flights worldwide.
