With € 800 million of public funding and € 800 million industry, Clean Sky is the largest program of aeronautics research in Europe. Focused on the environment, comprises a wide range of studies on the ground and in flight to the laminar flow, fuel consumption, Low Emissions, electric helicopters and light systems.
Clean Sky is aimed at developing technologies to meet the European industry and has important objectives including a reduction of 50% emissions of carbon dioxide compared to the 2000. Clean Sky 2 will be shaped by a more long-range to reduce emissions of CO2 75% by 2050, but also to increase mobility and safety.
"Siamo vicini al centro del programma", dice Eric Dautriat, direttore esecutivo dell’impresa comune Clean Sky. Il programma è sulla strada giusta per completare il proprio lavoro nel 2017. "Entro la fine di quest’anno, avremo speso più del 50%" del bilancio.

"La maggior parte degli attori in gioco sono in tempo. I ritardi sono in mesi, non anni ", dice Dautriat, e in gran parte a causa di problemi prioritari all’interno delle imprese tra Clean Sky e altri progetti.
