In support of the passengers who respect Ramadan, Emirates has developed a tool to calculate the correct settings in the air for periods Imsak e Iftar. The instrument, unique, was developed in collaboration with the Dubai Astronomy Group and calculates the exact timing of Ramadan using longitude, latitude and altitude of the aircraft, also ensuring the highest level of accuracy possible a bordo. For example, passengers in flight at sunset will be informed by the captain of the Iftar time, determined according to the position of the airplane at the time of sunset. This new tool has been developed by Emirates to complement the annual booklet on time for Ramadan available on every flight.
Also, the team that deals with the Emirates flight catering has developed a special menu for passengers looking, in line with the traditions and values of this important religious occasion. For flights departing during Iftar, Emirates will provide snacks to the boarding gates in Terminal 3 Emirates, Iftar and meals will be served to passengers flying on an empty stomach. The menu designed by chef Emirates, will be served in Economy, in Business e First class, with little variation.

"Abbiamo grande rispetto per la diversità culturale dei nostri clienti, e i passeggeri che non osservano il Ramadan continueranno a godere dei nostri pasti, aprezzati a livello mondiale."
I passeggeri non musulmani in volo per Umrah, Medina e Jeddah, riceveranno un pasto freddo al posto del normale pasto caldo per tutti i voli in partenza dopo l’alba e prima del tramonto, per rispetto ai molti passeggeri musulmani che completano Umrah su questi voli.
