Strong increase in the demand for eco-efficient Airbus single-aisle in the U.S.
Spirit Airlines has finalized its firm order for 75 Airbus single-aisle aircraft in 45 A320neo (new engine option). The Letter of Intent (MoU) was announced at the Dubai Air Show 2011. The company has not announced his choice on the engine to. The order related to Spirit Airlines 45 A320neo was recorded in December 2011. The confirmation of 30 more A320, occurred in January, leads to 75 the total number of aircraft of this new firm order.

The A320neo is the new engine option for the A320 Family, which will be operational from 2015. The A320neo has over 95% of structural commonality with the existing A320, allowing its easy integration into existing fleets and offering a range of up to an extra Measuring 950 km / 500mn, two or more tons of cargo.
