
Malaysia had decided to cancel the order for 12 military helicopters
Eurocopter EC725, a contract worth 657 million dollars.
Citing an anonymous source maintained, www.themalaysianinsider.com site has announced that the Minister of Finance Malaysia, Najib Razak, have decided to cancel the order within a further enhancement of the plan to reduce the effects of the international crisis on the economy of the Asian country that depends mainly on the commercial relations with other states.
The news has not yet been confirmed by the Minister of Malaysia.
Inter alia in the past the order with Eurocopter had been the subject of controversy, however denied by the Minister of Defense, from the opposition who had demanded a Parliamentary inquiry by asserting that the price of the helicopters would have been more than double that of a similar order made by Brazil.
